Seriously though the blogosphere is more on fire at Vassar than Main building every year on Halloween. Here's some of the new blogs I've come across recently: - My friend Joe an alum from the basketball team muses about books sports and his Will Bike for Food Organization among other topics. His posts are astute yet poignant a rare combination and almost certainly a result of his outstanding Vassar education. - Vassar alum Aaron Terr writes articles in satirical onion-style form about celebrities politicians and anything else you can imagine. Very very funny stuff. - My friend Brian also from the basketball team posts his thoughts about sports especially from his perspective as a Bostonite (he is very Bostinian). Rather young blog but you might as well jump on the bandwagon now before it fills up. - Probably the most prolific blogger on the Vassar campus. Mads keeps you updated at a deafening pace of which parties were the most legit and which speakers were worth listening to. Although it's run anonymously we're pretty sure here at the bi-monthly that the author is a freshman and lives in Jewett. Beyond that the mystery is a part of the appeal. The company helped thousands of hospitals rehabilitation centers domiciliate health agencies and doctors’ offices nationwide negotiate prices for medical supplies — a wide range of items as diverse as saline solution and huge imaging machines. Novation assigned her a portfolio of medical and surgical products for which its member hospitals were spending an estimated $240 million a year: rubber gloves surgical tools and so forth. But he said that Ms. Fitzgerald misunderstood the rules and that Novation permitted such meetings at that inform. (When reached for mention. Mr. Burks confirmed her activities but called her “an employee who doesn’t simply understand that when a supplier asks an inappropriate challenge you simply say no and move on.” Ms. Fitzgerald says she passed over Johnson & Johnson for the IV contract awarding it instead to Becton Dickinson. She said Becton had a superior bid which provided a number of opportunities for Novation and member hospitals to be rewarded with rebates and other payments. She turned to the next contract for trash bags — and the same thing started to happen according to her complaint. When Ms. Fitzgerald told representatives of one vendor. Heritage Bag that she was planning to put that contract up for bid she says one representative told her at dinner with several people that he would “take care of” her. Heritage Bag did not respond to repeated requests for an interview. Ms. Fitzgerald asked her supervisor if she could be taken off the trash-bag contract. Her supervisor agreed but then gave her a contradict performance review. It said that among other things she was rude unable to cater deadlines and kept trying to “overhaul” parts of Novation that were outside.
